Design-wise, it is nothing less than the elephant of the jungle- big, comfortable and surprisingly swift. The virtual mass added to the bike is something that’s been inspired by the previously popular Intruder M1800R. At Rs 108,162 (ex-showroom Delhi), the new Intruder commands a premium of Rs 955 over the 2018 model.īased on the famous Suzuki Gixxer 150, the Intruder 150 is a big bulky motorcycle.

For this year, the bike gets a new Titanium Silver paint job, updated gearshift and brake pedal assembly for more comfortable ergonomics, and a pillion backrest. Suzuki India has launched the MY 2019 Intruder 150 FI. For the same price as the Intruder, you could also get yourself the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise, TVS Apache RTR 200 and the Suzuki Gixxer SF. The Suzuki Intruder’s primary rival is the Bajaj Avenger 160 Street, but the Intruder is a lot pricey now. Disc brakes are standard at both ends and so is single-channel ABS. You find 17-inch alloy rims, the rear wheel comes shod with radial rubber. The Intruder is built on the same platform as the Gixxer and it uses a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension units. You get a 5-speed transmission but we would have liked Suzuki to kit the Intruder with an additional cog to aid its highway capabilities. Hence, you find the same 155cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine that makes 13.6PS and 13.8Nm, identical outputs to the 2020 Suzuki Gixxer. The Suzuki Intruder shares its engine with the Gixxer naked motorcycle. The old orange-backlit information console on the Intruder also doesn’t see any revision, the panel being borrowed from the first-gen Gixxer. The oddball-looking Intruder doesn’t even get a LED headlight, a feature which is found on every other Suzuki product that it manufactures in India. There are no changes to the way the Suzuki Intruder looks or any new features to speak of. The revision in price has made the Suzuki Intruder a very expensive motorcycle more so as it doesn't get any new features to offset the price hike. The new asking price is a whopping Rs 12,000 more than its BS4 counterpart. With the BS6 updates in place, the Suzuki Intruder price is Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Is it time for the Japanese bikemaker to pull the plug or introduce an update? Find out in this story. Suzuki Motorcycles has reported zero sales for the Intruder for December 2021.
